”A Brush With Paint” by Derek Bell

A retrospective exhibition of oil paintings and prints by Dundalk artist Derek Bell, including a series of ten paintings based on the Samuel Taylor Coleridge poem “The Rime of the Ancient Mariner.” Paintings on other themes include local landscapes and seascapes, a series of head studies some of local interest ie. Cattle Drover, The Green Fool (Patrick Cavanagh) and John McClintock the Arctic Explorer as well as various animals ie. Brown Bear and Galloping Goat. In total about eighty works complete the exhibition.
